Coursework
 Coursework
is a Web-based course management system currently being used at Stanford
University to support over 200 courses with over 4,000 users. Coursework
originated with a Web-based homework submission and grading tool for large
lecture classes developed at the Stanford Learning Lab, a predecessor organization
which has recently been incorporated with the Stanford Center for Innovations
in Learning. Coursework is also Stanford’s contribution to the work
of the Open Knowledge
Initiative (OKI) , a consortium of universities led by Stanford and
MIT that is developing a set of open-source API’s and education support
tools for use by colleges and universities.
