Education Professor Roy Pea shares his work on the future of classroom computing and high performance classrooms

2005 was a characteristically busy time for Professor of Education Roy Pea, who was the key note speaker at several international education conferences, as well as a published op-ed author and participant in numerous research projects related to the LIFE Center; Learning in Informal and Formal Environments.

--“You, the designer”, Professor Roy Pea, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Dec. 11, 2005. This op-ed piece explores the broad question of "Who is a designer?" Pea suggests that the answer is: "You!" - as he provides observations and examples that indicate how "use is design."

--Computing Research Association report: Cyberinfrastructure for Education and Learning for the Future, A Vision and Research Agenda. A collaboratively written report on the series of workshops organized by the Computing Research Association and the International Society of the Learning Sciences, this report was created with support from the National Science Foundation.

--“Future Schools as High Performance Learning Environments in a World of Continuous Computing: This provocative slide presentation created by Professor Pea was presented at the National School Design Summit in College Park, Maryland, and covers a broad range of issues faced by designers and participants in the schools of the future.
