Fall quarter brings widest diversity of classes yet

As students and faculty return to Wallenberg Hall for fall quarter, the line-up of courses taking place in advanced resource classrooms and the two-story Peter Wallenberg Learning Theater covers the widest range of disciplines and topics yet since the hall's opening in 2002.

The mix of faculty members returning to Wallenberg and those new to the facility are split almost equally, says academic technology specialist, Dan Gilbert, who has spent recent weeks meeting with faculty and other instructors to review how they will utilize Wallenberg's many resources. Twenty classes and 19 faculty members and lecturers, eight of whom are new, will fill Wallenberg as of the last week in September.

From David Katzenstein's "AIDS Epidemic; Biology, behavior and global response," to Jim Fishkin's "Democracy and the Communication of Consent," to Kenneth Waldron's "Robotic Animals," fall quarter promises to be a vibrant quarter of diverse experiences and opportunities.

To see a complete list of the classes being taught this quarter, and who is teaching them, take a look at the detailed Wallenberg Hall schedule and class list at:   http://scil.stanford.edu/news/FallClassSchedule.html
