WILD@Stanford on May 13: Project-Based Learning Lab

The Project Based Learning Laboratory (PBL Lab) has been the home of the Architecture/Engineering/Construction Global Teamwork (AEC) course established in 1993. Both the PBL Lab and the AEC course have served as a testbed for integrated research and curriculum exploring, developing, deploying, and assessing innovative information and collaboration technologies, education models, and assessment metrics and methodologies. Renate Fruchter, founder and Director of PBL Lab in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will provide a brief overview of the PBL EcoSystem, share some of the pedagogical research questions, and demo a WILD application in the global teamwork learning context.

WILD@Stanford is a special interest group that includes faculty, researchers, and students on campus and throughout the Bay Area who use Wireless Internet Learning Devices to improve teaching and learning. WILD@Stanford is directed by Roy Pea, director of SCIL and professor of education and the learning sciences. These events are open to the public; new members are welcome.
